This park has camping grounds and walking trails, allowing visitors to enjoy nature in a variety of ways. The sight of approximately one million "hime-sayuri" flowers blooming is truly magnificent. It has also been certified as one of the "100 Forests for Water Source Conservation" by the Forestry Agency, and there are abundant sources of clean water as well.

Takashimizu Natural Park is located at an altitude of about 850m. It's known as a famous spot for "hime-sayuri" lilies, with about one million of them spreading throughout the park. It boasts one of the largest scales in Japan, and is even referred to as the "Princess Lily of the Sky" due to its location on top of a mountain. The best time to see the hime-sayuri is usually from mid-June to early July, when the pale pink flowers bloom beautifully throughout the park. During the park's opening period, there is also an early morning photo session for the hime-sayuri, so why not try to capture the stunning scenery in photos?

At Takashimizu Nature Park, a wooden promenade is installed, making it easy to enjoy walking. The promenade is relatively short at 6km in total length, with 11 courses maintained. There are also six rest areas where you can take a break, making it enjoyable for people of all ages to take a stroll. If you walk while admiring the blooming Hime Sayuri flowers around you, your body and mind will be refreshed! Be sure to enjoy the scenery created by various trees as well.

At Takashimizu Natural Park, the Himesayuri Festival is held around mid-June every year, attracting many families. Stalls selling hand-made soba noodles and dishes made with local ingredients line the area, and the festival also features the "Sao-odori" dance, making it a very enjoyable event. "Tree climbing" and "catching iwana fish" are also held, making it a surefire hit with children!

Immerse yourself in the tranquility and enjoy a sense of "unusualness".

Drink the Clear Water Used in Sake Brewing

The water that flows through Takashimizu Natural Park is extremely clean and has been selected as one of the "100 Best Forests for Water Sources" by the Forestry Agency. This water is used in the brewing of the Aizu region's local sake, "Hanazawa," and is known for its smooth taste. The water source is located about a 5-minute walk from the promenade on the park grounds and is beloved under the name "Takashimizu." Water drawn from the source using pipes is located right next to the management building, so why not try drinking the famous water used in sake brewing?
