Fukuhiki Plateau

The sunflower field covers an area of 4 hectares and has 200,000 sunflowers. The scenery surrounded by sunflowers is a popular spot for taking photos. In addition, cosmos bloom in the fall. At Nunobiki Kogen, a walking course has been developed around the sunflower fields, allowing you to easily stroll through the flower fields. The "Koriyama Hanamiyama Festival" is held in the summer. Various events are held, making it a lively destination for families. There are plenty of corners that children will love, such as balloon lantern painting experiences and balloon performances. You can also experience harvesting daikon radishes grown on Hanamiyama, and take up to two back home with you. The daikon radishes, nurtured by the blessings of the highlands, are delicious! At the Hifumi Kogen Wind Farm, there are 33 giant windmills standing majestically in a row. This is one of the largest wind power facilities in Japan, utilizing the highland winds blowing from Lake Inawashiro and Mt. Bandai. When you see the windmills up close, you'll be overwhelmed by their size. From the observation deck, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the windmills, and the contrast between the flowers blooming from spring to autumn and the giant windmills is truly breathtaking.
