Fukushima's Peach Blossom Paradise! Flowers that Color the Entire Area

Hanamiyama Park Fukushima's Peach Blossom Paradise! Flowers that Color the Entire Area
Hanamiyama, with an area equivalent to about one Tokyo Dome, is a famous spot for flower viewing in Tohoku. Cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, azaleas, magnolias, rhododendrons, and other flowers bloom all at once. The sight of pale pink, dark pink, white, yellow, and other colors spreading out like a gradient, each competing to bloom, is truly like a "peach blossom paradise". Hanamiyama is a privately owned mountain, and opening the fields as a park was the beginning. "Fukushima's Peach Blossom Paradise", which took over 70 years to build, is sure to impress anyone who sees it.
Point 2

Spectacular Views from the Observation Deck

In front of you, the Azuma mountain range, which stretches across Fukushima and Yamagata prefectures, towers majestically, creating a picturesque scene. You can also overlook the Fukushima Basin and the city of Fukushima, making it a spot full of openness. Please enjoy the scenery surrounded by the unique nature of the region.
Point 3

Three Walking Courses Available in the Park!

Hanamiyama Park Three Walking Courses Available in the Park!
At Hanamiyama Park, there are three viewing courses available for walking around the spacious grounds: the 30-minute, 45-minute, and 60-minute courses. The 30-minute course offers views of the same scenery as seen in brochures and is relatively short, making it easy for anyone to enjoy. The 45-minute course features a spot where you can overlook Fukushima City through "Hana no Tani" and is recommended for those who want to enjoy a slightly longer walk. The 60-minute course is a course that goes around Hanamiyama and allows you to view the Azuma mountain range from the observation deck at the summit. Find the perfect course for you and give it a try!
Point 4

Don't Miss the Cherry Blossom Tunnel!

Hanamiyama Park Don't Miss the Cherry Blossom Tunnel!
The "Cherry Blossom Tunnel" can be seen if you choose the "60-minute" sightseeing course. As you descend from the mountaintop, a tunnel of cherry blossoms appears before your eyes. The low cherry trees create a tunnel-like effect, making it an extremely popular spot for taking photos. You can also hear the chirping of birds, adding to the elegant atmosphere. Surrounded by a picturesque scene that perfectly fits the phrase "a riot of colors," why not enjoy the fragrance of the flowers and take in the cherry blossoms?

Parking

Be Careful of Traffic Restrictions During Cherry Blossom Season!
Hanamiyama Park restricts private vehicle access during the cherry blossom season due to the influx of tourists. During the period of traffic restrictions, the "Abukuma Ryusui Park" serves as a temporary parking lot, so park your car there. It takes about 20 minutes from Fukushima Nishi IC. Pink signs are put up during the cherry blossom season to guide you to the parking lot, so just follow these signs. Shuttle buses are also available, so if you want to avoid the crowds, consider using public transportation.
