There are a total of eight boats, large and small, each adorned with designs such as dragon heads and phoenixes, and decorated with gorgeous ornaments made by parishioners and worshippers. The parking lot for visitors to Hotaka Shrine is located about a 5-minute walk from JR Oito Line Hotaka Station. You can enter it just to the left as soon as you pass through the main torii gate. The parking lot is quite large, with space for about 200 cars, so you can rest assured. Parking is free, but please be aware that it may become full during peak times. In that case, you can use nearby paid parking lots. Additionally, there is the Hotaka Shrine Omifunakai Hall (museum) in the parking lot, which is open to the public at all times and displays the boats and traditional doll decorations that are pulled out during the Omibune Festival.
