Highlights

Point 1

Fertility Power Spot!

Meefugaru Fertility Power Spot!
"Meefugaa" is the Okinawan dialect for "female rock," and it is said that praying to this rock brings blessings of fertility. In fact, the birthrate on Kume Island ranks second in the country, making it a blessed island for having children! Couples and married couples who wish for children should definitely come and pray together. It's also recommended for a girls' trip! You're sure to feel the power of Meefugaa.
Point 2

Feel the Overwhelming Power of Nature's Formation

Meefugaru Feel the Overwhelming Power of Nature's Formation
"Meefugaa" is a giant rock formation located at the edge of the coast of Kume Island, where two huge rocks collide with each other. It is said to have been formed about 4 million years ago, and the closer you get to it, the more you can feel the dynamic and overwhelming power of nature. The surrounding area is covered with rough rocks, making it slippery. When approaching, be sure to wear comfortable sneakers.
Point 3

Fantastical Sunrise Viewed from Between the Rocks

During one week in mid-July every year, you can see a fantastical view of the sunrise from between the gaps in the holed rocks. The light of the powerful sunrise shining through the gaps in the blackened rocks, due to backlighting, is truly divine and will move you. It seems that you can see it around 6:00 in the early morning, so it's a good idea to visit around 5:30 and wait.
Point 4

Abundant Turk's Cap Lilies in Bloom in the Surrounding Area!

Meefugaru Abundant Turk's Cap Lilies in Bloom in the Surrounding Area!
Every spring, the area around Meifuga's rock is filled with beautiful, pure white Turk's Cap Lilies in full bloom. You can take a wonderful photo with Meifuga, creating a nice collaboration with the Turk's Cap Lilies. The best time to visit is in May, and many people come to see the flowers during this time. If you're not sure when to go, please use this information as a reference.
Point 5

Explore the Male Rock as a Set!

Meefugaru Explore the Male Rock as a Set!
Meefugaa is the female rock located in the northwest of Kume Island, while on the southwest side of the island facing it is a power spot called "Male Rock," and it's recommended to explore both as a set! The mountain is also called "Garasaa Mountain" because many crows live there. The rock, which protrudes like a male symbol, is said to have the benefit of restoring confidence! It's located right next to the Kanegusuku Port Ferry Terminal, so it's a good idea to stop by for a walk during your ferry waiting time. For those on a harmonious couple's trip, be sure to visit both the Female and Male Rocks!
