Using Convenient Public Transportation

Access to Otakuro Park in Ogikubo, Tokyo can be made by train. The nearest station is Ogikubo Station on the JR Chuo/Sobu Line and Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line. From Tokyo Station, take the JR Chuo Line Rapid and arrive at Ogikubo Station in about 30 minutes. It's about a 5-minute walk from Ogikubo Station to Otakuro Park. Otakuro Park is a place where you can feel the richness of nature even though it's in the city center. There are playground equipment and open spaces in the park, making it perfect for family leisure. In addition, various flowers bloom seasonally, allowing you to enjoy their beauty!

正門から入らないと少し大回りをしてしまいますが、とてもきれいな樹林を多く見かけます。入場料無料文を過ぎると、銀杏並木が広がるアプローチが美しすぎます。階段だけでなくスロープなどバリアフリー対策もできている公園。

JR中央線、東京メトロ丸ノ内線、荻窪駅南口から徒歩10分くらいのところにあります大田黒元雄氏の屋敷跡を杉並区が日本庭園として、整備し、昭和56年１０月１日に開園した、当公園、杉並区立大田黒公園です。大田黒元雄氏は４７年間余りにわたり、この地で音楽♬活動を続けられ晩年を過ごされました。大田黒氏の主な著作は、歌劇大観、歌劇大事典、西洋音楽♬物語バッハよりシェーンベルヒなどで、功績は、文化功労賞などの功績を残しております。早速、正門から入り、園内にお邪魔させていただきます🫡。園内に入った途端、両脇に樹齢100年を経た２７本の大イチョウの木🌲が続いています。中門をくぐり抜け、小川に沿って、歩くと、あずま屋と池に辿り着きました。その場所には、60本以上の紅葉🍁の木🌲があります。秋の季節（11月末〜12月初旬）になりますと、園内の紅葉🍁が演出し、紅葉🍁ライトアップ🔦のイベント🎪が行われます。私が園内に訪れた時期は、夏場でしたので、当然、紅葉🍁は咲いていませんでした😓。でも、紅葉🍁は咲いていませんでしたが、代わりに池で泳いでいます、錦鯉さんを暫く、観察していました。とても、可愛いらしい錦鯉さん達でした❤️。記念館の中を拝見させていただきました。記念館の中は残念ながら撮影禁止🚫でしたので画像を撮ること出来ませんでした。😓記念館は昭和8年に建築されたもので当時としては珍しい西洋風の建物です。室内には、スタインウェイ社製のピアノ🎹などが展示されてました。催し物広場にも行って来ました。催し物広場は、6月に訪問したので、紫陽花のお花が咲いていました。茶室付近にあります。金魚さんの水槽を目👁にしました。金魚さんも錦鯉さんに劣らず小さくて可愛いかったです❤️。中庭を覗いて来ました。中庭には井筒があり、そこからの細い流れが茶室をめぐり木立の中を流れ、池に注いでいます仕組みです。最後に、中庭に植えられていますイネ🌾の様な植物は、荻（オギ）という、イネ🌾科の植物です。多分、そこから、荻窪という地名の由来になったかも知れません🤔。今度は紅葉🍁の季節になりましたら、ライトアップ🔦を見物しに行きますのでよろしくお願いします🙇。

音楽評論家・大田黒元雄の旧邸宅を公園にした。住宅街の中で一層空気が住んだ空間。少し起伏もあり、小川や池のある日本庭園。幹の太いしっかりとした木々が茂り、四季折々の落ち着いた情緒や爽やかな風を感じされてくれる。春や秋にはベンチで読書を楽しむ人もいて地元の人に愛される。大田黒元雄はドビュッシーやストラビンスキーの名を初めて日本に紹介しする。また、作曲家を紹介した本は量と質でそれまでの書物の群を抜き、紫綬褒章など功績を残す。86歳で逝去するまでの47年間を過ごした屋敷を杉並区に寄付。園内の洋館の一室にも入れ、住んでいた様子がよくわかる。とても貴重なマホガニーの象嵌細工のスタインウェイ社のピアノが残っている。
