Buying Souvenirs

Odawara Fish Market Buying Souvenirs
At Odawara Sakana Center, there are shops selling dried fish, dried goods, and kamaboko that are perfect for souvenirs from your Odawara trip. One of these shops, "Maruishi Shouten," sells many rare dried fish that cannot be found in other stores. Their popular product is the "Hotaruika Hoshi" from Sagami Bay. Before eating, it's recommended to lightly sear it with a lighter or stove to bring out the aroma, making it a great snack to enjoy with alcohol. Another popular item that has been sold for over 10 years is the "Tako Mirin," which is also popular among housewives as an ingredient for takomeshi (octopus rice).
Point 5

Purchase Fresh Local Vegetables

Odawara Fish Market Purchase Fresh Local Vegetables
"Jisomaterial Kan" is a popular shop that deals abundantly with local vegetables. The store, which evokes the image of an old-fashioned vegetable store, sells seasonal vegetables purchased from local contract farmers. In addition to tomatoes and green beans, they also handle fruits such as grapes and peaches. The quality is guaranteed, as the shop is so popular that nearby restaurant chefs use it for their purchases. They also offer a vegetable cutting service for meals at the adjacent barbecue corner.
