The World Peace Pagoda, located in Wakamatsu Park in Kitakyushu City, is a beautiful Burmese-style temple built with the cooperation of the Burmese government and Japanese volunteers. Since 1958, monks have been stationed there, praying for world peace through the remembrance of war dead, friendship between Japan and Myanmar, and Buddhist exchanges.
