Hinata Yakushi Hojo

In the Hōjōbō of Hinata Yakushi, Isehara City, there are two cedar trees that are over 800 years old. These mystical ancient trees are known as the "Hata-kake no sugi," as Ashikaga Motokiyo hung a flag on them. You can feel a special power emanating from these trees. The Hōden houses many nationally designated important cultural properties, making it a power spot in and of itself. Please come and visit at least once.

The biggest attraction of the Hoyo-jo temple in Isehara City's Hinata Yakushi is the main hall with a thatched roof, which is one of the largest in Japan. At the Hyuga Yakushi Hojo in Isehara City, the amaryllis flowers bloom in full glory in autumn, creating a beautiful landscape that looks like a bright red carpet has been laid out. This temple, which has a history of over 1300 years, houses many important cultural properties such as the three Yakushi Nyorai statues, making it a kind of power spot in itself. The two cedar trees and mossy scenery of "Hojo" are also worth seeing.

At Hojo-ji Temple in Isehara City, there is the largest Yakushi Buddha statue in Japan.
