The Amakusa Visitor Center is a free exhibition facility that introduces the nature and history of Amakusa-Matsushima. Admission is free, and they display the Hakusen Shiozumaneiki and coral, which are designated as endangered species in Kumamoto Prefecture. They also have exhibits on Amakusa Shiro and Christian culture. During the summer vacation period, there may be "tidal flat observation meetings" to observe organisms that inhabit the tidal flats, such as the Hakusen Shiozumaneiki.
