Katsuyamajō Park is known as the place where Akechi Mitsuhide spent his last night and is famous for its historical value as his final castle. Mitsuhide, who was defeated in the Battle of Yamazaki, retreated and spent his last night in this place, where the foundation stones of the walls and gates from that time still remain. In addition, cultural activities can be seen from the renovations by Hosokawa Fujitaka and the tea utensils used. It has now been developed as a historical museum, conveying its profound history to visitors.
