Yakuouin Temple is a shrine and temple located on the popular hiking trail of Mount Takao. To access it, you can either hike up Mount Takao on foot or take the cable car or Echo Lift. If you choose to take the cable car, it's a 20-minute walk from Takao-san Station, and if you take the Echo Lift, it's about a 30-minute walk from the mountaintop station. While many of the roads in Mount Takao are paved, it's recommended to wear comfortable and slip-resistant shoes.
