The Oku-Aizu Museum in Minamiaizu Town is located next to the ruins of Kukawa Castle and displays about 24,000 items, including a relocated old farmhouse and mountain village production tools. You can experience the work of a woodworker and even try indigo dyeing. The exhibition of the wealthy Hosoi family and the stage model of rural Kabuki are also highlights. The museum aims to preserve and pass on the traditional culture of Oku-Aizu, which is gradually being lost, and you can catch a glimpse of life at that time.
