At Kakukyu Hatcho Miso, you can take a tour of the traditional miso production process, which involves using only soybeans, salt, and natural river stones to age the miso for over two years. The tour is free and guided by staff who will show you around the miso cellars and historical museum. Inside the factory, you can enjoy the impressive sight of rows of large miso barrels, each about 2 meters in size. After the tour, there is a restaurant and shop where you can taste Hatcho miso dishes and desserts. However, for group tours, reservations are required in advance, and the factory is closed during the year-end and New Year holidays, so it's recommended to check the official website when making reservations!
