The recommended trekking course for Nanataki Falls is the one that starts at the Prefectural Forest entrance. This course offers a variety of scenery, including waterfalls, volcanic gorges, wetlands, and crater lakes. Nanataki Falls is an impressive waterfall with a drop of over 30 meters, and walking along the ridge path, you can hear the cool sound of water. At Daichi Jigoku Valley, there is a steep slope where steam spouts out, allowing you to recognize that Mt. Iwate is an active volcano. Between the Prefectural Forest and Nanataki Falls, there are scattered flower fields such as the Mizunara Forest and the Ojigoku Branch. Although it is a long-distance course among the Mt. Iwate climbing paths, it is full of attractions and a charming climbing path. Please enjoy trekking in nature!
