Of all the sites at Saga Castle, the one that particularly embodies its history is the main keep. Once the residence of the Nabeshima clan, it still bears the marks of battle and the Shachihoko Gate, with its bullet holes, leaves a deep impression on visitors. The Saga Castle History Museum, the first wooden reconstruction of its kind in Japan, is also a must-see, with parts of the building using tiles and pillars from the Tenpo period. From the castle tower, which once had five levels, visitors can enjoy a magnificent view. Experience a journey through time that can only be had here - be sure to give it a try!
