Tenjuan, a sub-temple of Nanzenji Temple in Kyoto, boasts beautiful dry landscape and pond gardens. The dry landscape garden features maple trees spreading over geometrically patterned stone paving and moss. The pond garden, which strongly reflects the characteristics of the Northern and Southern Courts period, is also a sight to behold. The gardens are illuminated at night, allowing visitors to enjoy a fantastic view. It's a famous spot for autumn foliage, displaying a colorful landscape in the fall. Admission is 500 yen for adults, and the gardens are open from 9:00 to 17:00.
