Accessible from Chichibu Railway Nagatoro Station
From Chichibu Railway Nagatoro Station, which is accessible in about 90 minutes from central Tokyo, it's a 20-minute walk to the torii gate of Mount Takasago Shrine. Once you pass through the gate, there is a ropeway station where you can reach the mountaintop in about 5 minutes. If you go by car, it's about 20 km and a 30-minute drive from the Kanetsu Expressway Hanazono IC. There are two types of parking lots: a free parking lot for visitors to Mount Takasago Shrine and a parking lot at the foot of Mount Takasago where you can park for 500 yen a day. It's recommended to go early on weekends and holidays as many people visit.
