Taisan-ji Temple is located on a hilltop made of piled-up stones. Kukai built the embankment of the Sosha River, which frequently flooded, and on the day of the fulfillment of the secret treasure of soil and sand, he carved and erected the Jizo Bodhisattva at this temple. In recent years, the grounds have been renovated, and the bell cherry tree, which is said to have been rebuilt with the old materials of the taiko tower, has been moved to the northeast side.
