Murakami Pirate Museum

Not only does the second-floor exhibition room introduce the activities of Murakami pirates, who were known as Japan's largest pirates, through ancient documents and restored items, but it also introduces the latest excavation and research results from time to time. In the "Exciting Experience Room" in the permanent exhibition room, you can wear armor and kosode and enjoy experiential learning using your five senses to experience the atmosphere of the time. At the "Murakami Family Memorial Room," which exhibits valuable materials handed down from the descendants of the Murakami family, you can also enjoy an artistic impression. On the first floor, there is a library where you can obtain literature and materials related to pirates, as well as a goods sales corner and a cafe. On the third floor observation deck, you can enjoy aerial photographs of the Shimanami Kaido, so please enjoy it along with watching the tidal currents. The beautiful scenery of the Seto Inland Sea, including the ruins of Noshima Castle visible from the observation deck, is worth seeing.
