The Kono Museum of Art in Imabari City exhibits art from the Heian period to the present day, including folding screens by Kano Tan'yu and Tosa Mitsunobu, calligraphy and paintings by Rikyu, Basho, and Buson, and ancient manuscripts such as the Kokin Wakashu and the Ise Monogatari. The collection consists of about 12,000 items! Not only Japanese art, but also Western art can be enjoyed.
