Imabari City

In the nostalgic scenery where the school building of the closed Munakata Elementary School remains, a modern building like a stadium appears. This is a sculpture museum by sculptor Ken Iwata. The circular building has an exhibition space without a roof except for the circumference. All 44 works are themed around mothers and children. You can feel the kindness of Mr. Iwata and spend a heartwarming time here. I hope you don't just pass by, but immerse yourself in this space slowly. The museum building was designed by Toyoo Ito.
