Original and Representative Blue Seal Ice Cream in Okinawa

Blue Seal Makiminato Main Store Original and Representative Blue Seal Ice Cream in Okinawa
When it comes to ice cream in Okinawa, Blue Seal Ice Cream is famous! Born in America and raised in Okinawa, Blue Seal Ice Cream has numerous stores not only in Okinawa Prefecture but also throughout Japan. Among them, the Makiminato Honten store is the first store and has a history of over 60 years! Due to reconstruction work, the store is temporarily closed for renovation from April 2023 to early summer 2024, but it is scheduled to reopen in July 2024 after renewal. It's exciting to see how the original Makiminato Honten store will power up!
Point 2

At the main branch of Blue Seal Makiminato, there is a spacious eat-in area where you can leisurely enjoy your ordered ice cream in a cool environment. The interior of the shop is unified with an American retro atmosphere that reproduces the time of its founding in the 1960s, and there is even a photo spot, so you can take cute photos. Let's enjoy delicious ice cream while feeling like we've slipped back in time several decades!
Point 3

A Wide Variety of Ice Cream to Choose From - About 30 Flavors!

One of the charms of Blue Seal is the wide variety of ice cream flavors to choose from! You can select from about 30 flavors, including classic flavors like "Vanilla & Cookies" and "Mint Chocolate," as well as Okinawa-exclusive flavors like "Sugarcane" and "Purple Sweet Potato." There are also various types of ice cream, such as soft serve, parfaits, and sundaes, and even a dream-like menu where you can enjoy 17 different flavors in one large serving! It's probably best to share with friends or family, as eating it alone might upset your stomach.
Point 4

Secretly Popular?! Blue Seal Burger

While Blue Seal Ice Cream may have a strong image as an ice cream brand, did you know they also have a food menu? Recommended for light lunches or snacks, they offer hamburgers, hot dogs, and more, which can be ordered as a single item or as a set with ice cream. Among them, the most popular is the "Blue Seal Burger"! It's delicious with a hamburger, bacon, egg, lettuce, and other ingredients sandwiched between a fluffy and light bun. In addition, there are also dessert menus such as apple pie and donuts, as well as ice cream and drink sets, so why not check them out?
Point 5
