At the Okuma Memorial Museum in Saga City, you can find the birthplace of Okuma Shigenobu, which retains the atmosphere of the Meiji period, as well as the "Gotsun-bashira" pillar he used to stay awake. Following in his footsteps, who lived here until his early thirties, you can learn about his character as the first cabinet minister to form a political party and the founder of Waseda University. The museum is open to the public on the 5th of every month as a special viewing day! Whether you're a history buff or not, please come and visit at least once.
