This Resort is excellent but location let's itself down with a fair way from Beppu town and there are no local eateries in the evening
The free shuttle is very limited with no drop offs in the afternoons (even though they have to return to Beppu Station for pick ups.) There was a bus stop out front but staff didn't seem to have details eg where it goes to or how often. The buffet breakfast is great with a variety of local fare as well as catering for the western diet.
