The Hashimuregawa Site in Ibusuki City is a historical park where ancient villages from the Jomon to Heian periods have been excavated. There are four pit dwellings, shell mounds, and an exhibition facility for geological strata. This site is also the first place in Japan to prove that the Jomon period is older than the Yayoi period. Admission is free, making it a must-visit spot for archaeology fans!
