Access

Access by Car from Amami Oshima Airport Takes About 2 Hours
To access Honohoshi Beach by public transportation, take a bus bound for Setouchi Kai no Eki from Amami Oshima Airport. The ride takes about 2 hours. Get off at Setouchi Kai no Eki and transfer to a bus bound for Seaside Bus Yadori Beach. The ride takes about 30 minutes. Get off at the bus stop for Honohoshi Beach and it's just a short walk from there. If you're driving, take Prefectural Route 82 and National Route 58 from Kagoshima Prefecture's Amami Oshima Airport to Honohoshi Beach. The drive takes about 2 hours, covering approximately 73km.
