From April 18th (Tue) to April 23rd (Sun) in 2023, the "Emperor's Cup and Empress's Cup 39th Iizuka International Wheelchair Tennis Tournament (Japan Open 2023)" will be held. The venue is the Iizuka Sports Resort Tennis Court and the Prefectural Chikuhoku Green Park Tennis Court. Singles matches will be held in each division of men's and women's singles, men's and women's doubles, and quad singles and doubles. Viewing from the spectator seats is free and open to the public. However, if the matches are moved to indoor courts due to bad weather, it may become a closed-door event. This is a chance to watch a tournament where top wheelchair tennis players from around the world gather for free.

At the Iizuka City Museum located in the Chikuho Green Area, you can learn about the history and culture of the Chikuho region. The special exhibition room features planned exhibits, while the permanent exhibition room showcases the history and cultural assets of the Chikuho coal mines. In addition, cultural events such as the "Iizuka Citizen Art Festival" and "Iizuka Newcomer Music Competition" are also held. Chikuhou Greenery is known as one of the premier cherry blossom viewing spots in Fukuoka.
