Hogonji Temple, home to the Fushimi Kannon, is a temple known for its vermilion-painted Kannon hall that hangs on a sheer cliff. The worship hall inside the cave is built in a powerful cliff-hanging style, giving the impression that it is floating in mid-air. In addition, from the Kannon hall, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the surrounding mountains and valleys, making it a great attraction to appreciate the beautiful scenery. As the most famous spot on the temple grounds, be sure to stop by when visiting.

Hukubu Kannon Popular for Goshuin and Omamori
At Hieizan Enryakuji Temple, Goshuin and Omamori are sold and are popular among many visitors. At the Goshuin window, you may also encounter a signboard cat watching over the worshippers. Additionally, if you have your Goshuin written at the office, you will also receive a piece of paper with the word "fortune" written on it. Since it takes some time to have your Goshuin written, it is recommended to visit the office first before worshipping.
