Former Mikasa Hotel

A wooden, pure Western-style hotel known as the "Kanemikan of Karuizawa". It is designated as an important cultural property of the country, and it is possible to visit the inside of the building. The Western architecture, including the design, was all done by Japanese people, and you can enjoy an atmosphere that feels like you have slipped back in time to the social scene of the Meiji era.
