Gorobei Memorial Hall

This memorial hall houses and displays materials related to Ichikawa Gorohei Masachika, who was born in the Sengoku period and promoted the development of the old city of Sakuma. He discovered a water source, dug a 320-meter tunnel, and developed a new paddy field by excavating a waterway of about 20 kilometers, completing the waterway. It houses and displays about 30,000 ancient documents related to the development of the waterway and about 30,000 ancient documents from the surrounding area.
