Every year on January 1st, Ashikaga Orihime Shrine holds a festival called "Saidan-sai". This festival is held to pray for happiness in the new year and to offer gratitude to Orihime-sama. It includes dedicatory performances by the shrine priests and purification rituals. Additionally, the Grand Festival is held on May 5th and November 3rd every year. Inside the shrine grounds, there are shops selling matcha and Japanese sweets, and the Kagura dance performed on the shrine grounds is one of the highlights. Why not visit during the festival season and experience the culture of Ashikaga Orihime Shrine?
