The Railway Museum in Omiya features Japan's largest railway diorama. The total length of the tracks is about 1,200 meters, and about 1,400 model vehicles run through the diorama. Located just a 1-minute walk from Railway Museum Station (Omiya Station), accessible via the New Shuttle from JR Omiya Station. Omiya Station is a terminal station where various trains, including trains connecting Tokyo and Saitama, Shinkansen, and local trains in Saitama prefecture, gather. As it is only one station away from Omiya Station, it is a very accessible location. It's a great point that even those living in Tokyo can easily visit!

Parking

Accessible by Car!
Although the Railway Museum is located near a train station, it is also accessible by car. It is about 4km away by car from the Shuto Expressway Saitama-Omiya Line, Shin-Toshin Nishiguchi or Yono exits. It is also accessible by car from the Iwatsuki Interchange on the Tohoku Expressway, which is about 9km away. There is a parking lot at the Railway Museum, but the number of spaces is limited, so depending on the time of day, you may need to use a coin parking lot, so be careful about the time. The Railway Museum's dedicated parking lot is available for parking at a rate of 1,000 yen per day.
