This town has a strong atmosphere of a castle town, with a characteristic townscape of storehouses called "Koedo". Kawagoe Ichibangai is often thought to be most easily accessible from Kawagoe Station, but it takes about 25 minutes to walk from JR Kawagoe Station. Therefore, for those who don't want to walk too much, it's recommended to get off at Tobu Tojo Line Kawagoe-shi Station or Seibu Shinjuku Line Hon-Kawagoe Station, which will take you to Kawagoe Ichibangai in about a 5-minute walk. There are also many sights along the way from Kawagoe Station to Kawagoe Ichibangai on the JR line, so walking from Kawagoe Station is also recommended.
