Ogoto Onsen is a hot springs resort located on the west bank of Lake Biwa in Otsu City, Shiga Prefecture. It is also known as the hot springs resort closest to Kyoto's Mt. It takes about 40 minutes by car from Kyoto, or if you use public transportation, you can reach it on foot from Ogoto Onsen Station on the JR Kosei Line.
