Scenic Spot Near Urban Areas
Katsuragi Valley is a scenic spot relatively close to major cities in Shiga such as Kusatsu and Otsu. If using public transportation only, you can take a bus from JR Ishiyama Station and arrive in about 30 minutes. If using a private car, it's about a 15-minute drive from the Meishin Seto Higashi (Nishi) Interchange. There are several parking lots in the valley, including near Katsuragi Bridge, so use them as needed.
