What sets Takihata's 48 waterfalls apart is that it's not just one waterfall, but multiple. Water from the Kii Mountains springs forth and flows down as several waterfalls, including Ootaki, Mikotaki, Hikaritaki, Gongentaki, Chigotaki, and Arataki. Of these, Hikaritaki, Arataki, and Mikotaki are relatively close to each other, and the sight of the waterfalls right before your eyes is truly awe-inspiring! Hikaritaki splits into a V-shape and falls about 8 meters, with the light shining on it creating a mystical view. Arataki falls about 10 meters and splits into two on its way down, creating a powerful yet gentle shower-like flow. Mikotaki falls about 12 meters, allowing you to fully enjoy the force of the waterfall right before your eyes! Please soak up plenty of power from the waterfalls.
