A Hidden Gem Two Hours from Kyoto
Miyama Onsen is a hidden gem in Kyoto, located about two hours from JR Kyoto Station. This hot spring resort with a scenic view of the sea in front of it is perfect for those who want to get away from the city and relax. Take the limited express train "Hashidate" from JR Kyoto Station and get off at JR Amino Station. From there, take the shuttle bus provided by your accommodation to Miyama Onsen. Note that reservations may be required for shuttle bus use, so check with your accommodation before your stay. By the way, if you use a taxi for a day trip, you can arrive at the hot spring resort in about 15 minutes.
