A great hotel with excellent services and lots of convenience. Perfectly located with easy access to JR line and the rest of Osaka. The hotel building holds a supermarket, a drug store, Seria (a dollar store), 7-11, restaurants and more. The ground floor in front of a supermarket is an eye brows and eye lashes salon that take walk-ins given availability. In and around the building are many clinics and hospital which are nice to be near by in case you fall ill.
Small shortcomings of this hotel are 1) The weather was excellent during our stay but I believe cold but nice sunny weather heats up the dining area with all tall windows . Our stay included free breakfast but we never ate there because it was too hot there everytime we tried. And 2) Staff are excellent but be aware of some Asian tourists that may take away from your total Japanese bath experience. The public bath on the top floor is wonderful but there are some easy and common rules to follow, like you take off your slippers/shoes at entrance and put them in the locker with your other belongings. The locker area is considered a part of bathing area - people should be allowed to stay clean barefooted. I saw several times some ladies finished bathing but put on their slippers right in that area, not at entrance/exit. I knew they were not Japanese because Japanese women would not do such a thing at the public bath. Signage was there but it was very subtle. I think the hotel can post more effectively.
