Fukuyama Literature Museum, located in Fukuyama City, is a must-see tourist spot for literature fans. The building is modeled after the slanted mansion (Ryūhyōkan) that appeared in the novel "Hanzai Kōshōnin" by Soji Shimada, and various literary works, including those by authors from Fukuyama City or set in Fukuyama City, are on display. A model of the slanted mansion that appeared in Soji Shimada's work is also exhibited. In addition, various special exhibitions are held, such as the Soji Shimada Exhibition and exhibitions featuring authors from Fukuyama City. Events such as literary lectures and reading sessions are also held, making it an irresistible place for literature fans. There are many other tourist spots in Fukuyama City, and the museum is about a 15-minute walk from Fukuyama Station. The entrance fee is 500 yen for adults and free for high school students and younger.
