Mackerel caught in Hachinohe Port is certified as a brand called "Hachinohe Maesabu" and is known as "the most fatty mackerel in Japan". The high-quality fat of Hachinohe Maesabu is recommended to be tasted with simple grilled skewers. Of course, it's also delicious to eat it as sushi or in a rice bowl with pickled vegetables.
