Oyaki

Oyaki is a hearty snack made by wrapping vegetables and other ingredients in firm dough and baking and steaming it. It can be seen all over Nagano Prefecture. It used to be a home-cooked meal baked on an irori (traditional Japanese fireplace). Popular ingredients include pickled vegetables and eggplant.
