The small island floating in Takamatsu Port, also known as "Onigashima".
This island, located about 4 kilometers from Takamatsu Port by ferry, is famous for the Oni-ga-jima Oodoukutsu cave, which is said to have been the home of the demon in the story of Momotaro. In addition, there is also the pleasure of strolling around the island and slowly appreciating the works of the Setouchi International Art Festival that are scattered throughout the island.

Access

Get to the Island with Convenient Transportation!
Okinoshima Island is accessible by public transportation or private car. Customers coming from Osaka or Hiroshima areas should first transfer at Okayama Station and take the Marine Liner. After about an hour-long boat ride, you will arrive at Takamatsu Station, and just a 2-minute walk will take you to Takamatsu Port. From there, you can reach Okinoshima Island with a 20-minute boat ride. For those coming by car, please use the Sunport underground parking lot, which is about a 15-minute drive from Takamatsu Chuo IC (fee required). From there, it's just a 1-minute walk to Takamatsu Port, where you can board a boat and head to Okinoshima Island. Please take advantage of the convenient transportation and experience the beauty of Okinoshima Island.

Enjoy a Comfortable Journey by Ferry!
Access to Megijima is convenient by ferry from Takamatsu Port. The one-way fare is 370 yen for adults and 190 yen for children, and if you go back and forth, you can use it at a discounted price of 740 yen and 380 yen. Please note that the ferry schedule may change depending on the season. You can check the latest timetable on our website. Especially during the summer season, the time may change, so we recommend checking the information in advance. Please use the ferry and fully enjoy the charm of Megijima.
