Tonami, Gokayamaとは
Tonami is famous for its tulip bulb production, and from February to May, many events are held where you can enjoy 600 varieties and 2.5 million tulips, the largest number in Japan. The Tulip Four Seasons Hall is a popular tourist spot where you can enjoy tulips all year round, thanks to the advanced technology of refrigerated storage that adjusts the flowering time. Gokayama is one of Japan's leading heavy snowfall areas, with houses lined up in the gassho-zukuri style, allowing you to experience the traditional and nostalgic atmosphere of Japan.

A traditional taste of the Tonami region. It is a round bun-shaped somen, which is rare nationwide. It uses locally produced wheat and has a slightly thicker noodle than regular somen, with a strong texture and smooth throat. It is recommended to eat it as "Nyumen" (a type of hot noodle soup) during the cold season.
