Moto Zenko-ji Temple
A Tendai sect temple with a history of over 1400 years
This is the temple where the main image of Zenko-ji Temple in Nagano was first enshrined. It is the birthplace of Giko Honda and, like Zenko-ji Temple, the main hall is open to the public once every seven years. The exhibition of about 80 items, including the Aizen Myoo statue and Buddhist statues from the Heian period and hanging scrolls displayed in the treasure hall, is a must-see!

Toyama Jingisukan

Specialty of Hikyo no Sato
The taste of a hidden village that has been passed down as a local cuisine.
Handmade konjac and tofu. Wild boar and local chicken. There are many local gourmet dishes unique to the hidden village, such as "Nidoimo" (miso-grilled potatoes) and "Amago" (salt-grilled trout) born from the hearth culture.
