Ginza, Nihonbashi, Tsukishimaとは

Ginza, named after the silver coin minting factory in the Edo period, is famous as one of Japan's leading luxury shopping districts, with high-end brand stores lining the streets and making a name for itself overseas. Nihonbashi, where the Bank of Japan and the Tokyo Stock Exchange are located, is an area where the "Nihonbashi" bridge was built as part of Tokugawa Ieyasu's national road network plan, serving as the starting point for Japan's finance and roads. It is also an area with many long-established stores that have protected their noren (traditional shop curtains) with history. Tsukishima is famous for its "monja-yaki" (savory pancake), especially in the fiercely competitive "Tsukishima Nishi-Nakadori Shopping Street," where about 70 stores line up, so be sure to give it a try!
