Access

Access to Ryugu Cave

If you are coming by car, it's about a 15-minute drive from Izu Kyuko Shimoda Station. Go south on Route 136 for about 5 kilometers, turn left at the "Tagyu Entrance" sign, and head towards Tagyu Beach. You will see a sign that says "Ryugu Cave". If you are using a taxi, it's also about a 15-minute drive from Izu Kyuko Shimoda Station. The charter taxi fee is 6,900 yen (1 hour) for a regular car. If you are using a bus, it's about a 20-minute ride (3-minute walk after getting off the bus) from Izu Kyuko Shimoda Station. Take the "Tagyu-bound" bus from the "Izu Kyuko Shimoda Station" bus stop #2 of Tokai Bus and get off at "Ryugu Cave". You can enjoy Ryugu Cave relatively easily by any means of transportation. Please come in your favorite way.

Parking

Parking Information for Ryugu Cave

Using the parking lot is convenient for accessing Ryugu Cave. There is a parking lot in front that can accommodate about 10 cars, but during peak times, you may need to use nearby parking lots. The parking lot is charged, usually 500 yen, and during the summer season, it's 1,500 yen. As there is a limited number of parking spaces, it's recommended to come early. Please keep in mind the use of the parking lot to enjoy Ryugu Cave at a leisurely pace.
