A historical theme park with a magnificent space.
The only historical theme park in Japan dedicated to the Heian period. It is a park that conveys the achievements of the Oshu Fujiwara clan to future generations. Inside the park, visitors can experience the dressing of formal Heian period attire such as the "junihitoe" (twelve-layered ceremonial kimono), "tai-bukuro" (a bag used to carry personal belongings), and "hakama" (a type of traditional Japanese clothing). Visitors can also enjoy experiences such as archery and painting on clam shells, making it a popular destination for families.

The "Seicho," the center of politics, is also located here. Visitors can enjoy experiences such as dressing up in period costumes, trying on armor, and practicing archery and shell matching inside these buildings. Access by Car is About 15 Minutes from the Tohoku Expressway Mizusawa IC
Here is how to access the historical park "Esashi Fujiwara no Sato". If using public transportation, head to JR Mizusawa-Esashi Station and take a bus or taxi for about 15 minutes. Check if public transportation is available from Mizusawa-Esashi Station and use the nearest bus or taxi. If using a private car, it's about a 15-minute drive via Prefectural Route 8 from the Tohoku Expressway Mizusawa IC.
