At the Daikanbo Tea House near the parking lot of Daikanbo, you can try the specialty of Aso, the Koguni Jersey Milk Soft Serve Ice Cream. From Daikanbo, if the conditions are right, you can get a panoramic view of the sea of clouds that spreads over Aso in the early morning. It tends to occur in the early morning before dawn, when it's chilly in the morning and evening, or after the rain has stopped and there's a weak wind. It's said to be more likely to occur in the autumn. Also, even if you've gone all the way there, there may be times when there is no sea of clouds. However, there is a "real-time sea of clouds camera" installed in Aso, so it's a good idea to check the situation before heading there.

At the nearby "Aso Nature Land," you can enjoy paragliding. We recommend the two-seater paraglider that takes off from the outer rim of Aso (elevation 450 meters).
