Sadoとは

This is Japan's largest gold and silver mine with 400km of tunnels. It was opened in 1601 and supported the finances of the Tokugawa shogunate for 300 years. Inside the tunnels, the mining process is reproduced by electric dolls. The mining industry heritage remaining in the surrounding area is covered with moss and vegetation, making it look like a giant ancient ruin.

It is a habitat for Tobishima Kanzo, and from late May to early June, the entire area is covered with yellow flowers in full bloom.
